New website for north west legal firm
Through Creative has developed and launched a new website for Chester and Wirral solicitors Hillyer McKeown .
The brief was to create a site that not only clearly positioned the firm's key specialisms but also one that was simple to navigate.
"There's nothing worse than having to search long and hard for the information you require," comments Sarah-Jane Patten, business development manager at Hillyer McKeown. "The new site clearly positions our expertise up front on the home page making it very easy for visitors to not only understand what we offer, but also find the relevant information."
Through Creative was keen to create a site that focused on communicating the experience and ultimate outcome of dealing with Hillyer McKeown. At the centre of this new site is the strapline - 'a brighter future - with expertise on your side' - and all the photography supports this key message. The site was developed utilising a content management system enabling regular updates to be made easily, including the ability to post news items and expert comment.
Sarah-Jane concludes: "The longer term objective is to improve search engine rankings and drive more visitors to the website by offering even more advice and expert comment. Through Creative will play a pivotal role in helping us to achieve this and we've already commissioned them to undertake a Search Engine Optimisation programme for an initial period of 12 months."
Chess Logistics selects Through Creative for trade advertising campaign
Manchester based warehouse management specialist - Chess Logistics Technology - has selected Through Creative to develop its new trade advertising campaign.
The campaign has been developed to run for 12 months and includes the placement of adverts with the key warehouse and logistics press, including Logistics Manager; Manufacturing & Logistics IT; Storage Handling & Distribution and Logistics Business IT.
The new advert focuses on the increased performance benefits of using Chess' technology by turning the safety lines used on warehouse floors into a running track and asking the question: 'Is your warehouse ready for increased performance?'
"Through Creative developed some creative and original concepts for the campaign," comments Alex Mills, sales and marketing director at Chess Logistics. "I felt that the originality of the concept we selected would make us stand out in the publications we are targeting while communicating some key messages for us."
The campaign has already generated promising sales leads that Alex and his team are actively pursuing.
Based in Trafford Park, Manchester, Chess Logistics Technology provides warehouse management systems for logistics operations and has clients including ABP Ports, BHS, DHL Exel and Whitbread.
New identity and website for Wills for Life
Wills writing company Wills for Life has selected Through Creative to design and develop its corporate identity and website.
The brief was simple – to create an identity for a will writing company that celebrated life rather than a more sombre look and feel synonymous with other companies operating in this market.
“There is far too much doom and gloom in the wills writing sector so I wanted to develop a brand that was fresh, vibrant and different,” says Wendy Heyes, director of Wills for Life. "That’s not to say that we do not take the service that we offer very seriously. Writing a will proves to loved ones that you care enough to sort things out in advance and once the will is written you can then get on with your life safe in the knowledge that your affairs will be taken care of.”
Once the identity was developed this was then applied to stationery and the agency has launched the new website.
UKSEM scores Through Creative
Following its appointment by Manchester based UK Sports & Event Management (UKSEM), Through Creative has developed a new brochure for the company aimed at promoting its football training camp services across the UK and northern Europe.
The new brochure has already attracted the attention of the likes of Newcastle United, Sheffield Wednesday and top Turkish side Besiktas which have approached the company about its training camp services.
"I'm confident that this is a direct result of a fresh approach to our creative, "says Christian Machowski of UKSEM. "It is quite a departure to what we've previously been used to but I'm pleased we went down this route and I'm sure we'll reap the benefits."
The brochure design, developed by Through Creative, uses powerful everyday football imagery to help communicate UKSEM's key messages.
Christian concludes: "Competition in world and European football has never been so fierce in terms of both sporting glory and the associated financial rewards. Clubs now expect the best facilities and the brochure certainly does an excellent job at positioning us at the top end of training football camp organisation and management."
An alternative look at marketing
As a business we are determined to enjoy our work and have some fun. This does mean that sometimes we do need to have a laugh at our own expense and not take ourselves too seriously. So here’s our first instalment of an alternative look at marketing.
Marketing Explained:
You go to a party and you see an attractive girl across the room. You go up to her and say: "Hi, I'm great in bed, how about it?"
That's Direct Marketing.
You go to a party and you see an attractive girl across the room. You give your friend a pound. She goes up and says: "Hi, my friend over there is great in bed, how about it?"
That's Advertising.
You go to a party and see an attractive girl across the room. You somehow get her mobile number. You call and chat her up a while and then say: "Hi, I am great in bed, how about it?"
That's Telemarketing.
You go to a party and see an attractive girl across the room. You recognize her. You walk up to her, refresh her memory and get her to laugh and giggle and then suggest: "Hi, I am great in bed, how about it?"
That's Customer Relationship Management.
You go to a party and you see an attractive girl across the room. You stand straight, you talk soft and smooth, you open the door for the ladies, you smile like a dream, you set an aura around you playing the Mr. Gentleman and then you move up to the girl and say: "Hi, I am great in bed, how about it?"
That's Hard Selling.
You go to a party, you see an attractive girl across the room. SHE COMES OVER and says: "Hi, I hear you're great in bed, how about it?"
Now THAT is the power of Branding.
