Through Creative wins Printsoft European brief

International print solutions company, PrintSoft, has appointed Through Creative as its European brand agency. The appointment follows the successful worldwide launch of PrintSoft’s hybrid mail service, DeskDirect Global, the brief for which was won by the Macclesfield agency in December 2007 after a three-way pitch.

PrintSoft is a business of Australia Post and has 13 offices throughout the world including Australia, France, Germany, and the US. The company made its name developing document composition software and has been operating for over 20 years. PrintSoft’s software now drives the production of over one billion items of print per day, globally.

Through Creative will work closely with PrintSoft’s European marketing manager, Rob Fearn, and UK PR agency, Smith & Smith PR, to develop a brand strategy for the company’s offices in France, Germany and the UK. Work will begin with a refresh of the PrintSoft brand, including a review of the company’s international corporate style guide.

Rob Fearn, European marketing manager for PrintSoft, said: “Through Creative is an important partner for us in the future strategic development of our business. Following the vital work that they did in developing our DeskDirect Global brand we had no hesitation in appointing them as our European brand partner. They really do work with us like they are part of our team.”

Through Creative director, Ed Beattie, said: “Being selected to work with a prestigious name like PrintSoft is a great coup for any agency. For us it means that, just six months after starting the business, we’re proving we’ve got what it takes to compete with the most respected agencies in the North West.”

New website for north west legal firm

Through Creative has developed and launched a new website for Chester and Wirral solicitors Hillyer McKeown – www.hillyermckewon.co.uk

The brief was to create a site that not only clearly positioned the firm's key specialisms but also one that was simple to navigate.

“There's nothing worse than having to search long and hard for the information you require,” comments Sarah-Jane Pattern, business development manager at Hillyer McKeown. “The new site clearly positions our expertise up front on the home page making it very easy for visitors to not only understand what we offer, but also find the relevant information.”

Through Creative was keen to create a site that focused on communicating the experience and ultimate outcome of dealing with Hillyer Mckeown. At the centre of this new site is the strapline – ‘a brighter future – with expertise on your side' – and all the photography supports this key message. The site was developed utilising a content management system enabling regular updates to be made easily, including the ability to post news items and expert comment.

Sarah-Jane concludes: “The longer term objective is to improve search engine rankings and drive more visitors to the website by offering even more advice and expert comment. Through Creative will play a pivotal role in helping us to achieve this and we've already commissioned them to undertake a Search Engine Optimisation programme for an initial period of 12 months.

HellermannTyton gets creative Through Creative

The UK arm of multi-national cable management specialist HellermannTyton has appointed Through Creative as its approved creative partner.

Operating on a retained basis for an initial 12 month period, the creative agency will work closely with HellermannTyton's UK marketing team, based in Manchester, to develop and deliver a number of creative projects including a new range of literature, direct mail, e-marketing and point of sale.

HellermannTyton is one of the world's leading suppliers of cable management products supplying a wide range of markets including rail, utilities, defence and aerospace. One of the key projects will be the ongoing communication of its Safety Solution campaign that highlights the importance of selecting the right type of cable management product after considering the health & safety requirements for a particular application. Specific communication activities include e-marketing, direct marketing, literature development and seminars.

“Since a number of high profile public accidents there has been an increase in the legal requirements when considering cable management,” comments Andrew Parmenter, UK head of marketing at HellermannTyton. “We've developed our Safety Solutions icons, a simple graphical key, which help engineers identify the right cable management product for a particular application. Through Creative will be instrumental in communicating this message.”

Commenting on why he selected Through Creative, Andrew comments: “I like their integrated approach. They are able to produce collateral on- and off-line and ensure brand consistency and creativity in whatever they do. This fits well with my communications approach for 2008.”

New identity and website for Wills for Life

Wills writing company Wills for Life has selected Through Creative to design and develop its corporate identity and website.

The brief was simple – to create an identity for a will writing company that celebrated life rather than a more sombre look and feel synonymous with other companies operating in this market.

“There is far too much doom and gloom in the wills writing sector so I wanted to develop a brand that was fresh, vibrant and different,” says Wendy Heyes, director of Wills for Life. That's not to say that we do not take the service that we offer very seriously. Writing a will proves to loved ones that you care enough to sort things out in advance and once the will is written you can then get on with your life safe in the knowledge that your affairs will be taken care of.”

Once the identity was developed this was then applied to stationery and the agency launched the new website (www.wills-for-life.co.uk).

In addition to a will writing service, Wills for Life also offers the following services: Lasting Power of Attorney, Independent Financial Advice, Private Medical Insurance, Probate, Funeral Plans, Company Wills and Document Storage.

New agency formed

Two former employees of Native Marketing have set-up a new communications business called Through Creative.

Offering the full range of marketing services including advertising, branding, design, digital, direct mail and marketing, the new business has been formed by Native's former Creative Director Paul Wilson and Group Account Director Ed Beattie.

What makes the new company different in such a competitive market? “We don't hide behind Account Executives or Managers,” says Ed. “Our clients will only ever deal with the people actually undertaking the work. It's as simple as that.”

“The concept behind the company name is that you really can make a difference through creative,” comments Paul. “We help companies to stand out. We discover what makes them special and then communicate this clearly to the target audience, via the most appropriate activities.”

Ed and Paul have worked together for almost three years and the formation of the new company was the logical step to take once their former employers were no longer operating. “We work very well together and bring very different but complimentary skills to the business,” comments Ed. “We are straight talking. No fluffy marketing language. Just open and honest advice that is best for our clients.”
